There are a number of areas of airspace within which the flight of UAS is restricted, unless permission has been obtained. This includes areas around airports and protected space sites (FRZs).
The CAA issued guidance in to aerodromes in CAP 722C to assist with making decisions about issuing permission for UAS operations within their FRZ. If you have applied for permission to operate within such an area, but believe that this was rejected without proper consideration of the interests set out in CAP722C (i.e. aviation safety, security or other operational interests) then you may notify the CAA through the following online form:
Airspace Access reporting form
The CAA will monitor submissions of this form, and will escalate reports to the relevant capability area for further assessment in some circumstances. The CAA does not undertake to investigate each report, and you may not receive further correspondence after the initial response, following submission of this form. The CAA will monitor trends of reports and act where appropriate and necessary.
